Competitive exams are exams conducted to help recruit the ideal candidates for various public sector organisation jobs. It runs on the principle of merit as well as reservation policy for different sections of the society, whereby 7.5%of the seats are reserved for the ST (Scheduled Tribes), 15% for the Scheduled Caste, 27% for the OBC (Other backward classes), thus occupying nearly 50% of the total seats. There are different competitions held at the State level, central level, all India level etc and these exams are aimed at improving the process of recruitment and uplifting social justice in India.
